The foldable smartphone space is only going to get more interesting at Google’s next high-end foldable device, the Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold, which will be released on August 12, 2026, the next Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold.
It is expected to be launched at a Made by Google event on August 12, 2026 and will have a lot more upgrades in design, performance, AI, and camera.
Google hasn’t disclosed the complete specifications but there have been many industry leaks and reports that suggest that customers should expect the most advanced foldable smartphone to get consumers’ interest in Google’s most advanced foldable smartphone.
Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold launch date
Google is expected to launch Pixel 11 Pro Fold and Pixel 11 series in August on its annual Made by Google event on August 12, 2026. The device will go on sale in the world market (India), soon after the announcement.
The Pixel 11 Pro Fold will compete directly with premium foldable smartphones from Samsung, OnePlus, Honor, and other leading brands in the ultra-premium segment.
Premium Design Gets Even Better
Google has modified its foldable flagship, apparently making it thinner, lighter and more durable. Leaked renders show thinner bezels, a stronger hinge mechanism and a slightly reduced camera bump while keeping Google's signature horizontal camera bar.
The improved hinge should reduce the display crease which will help users to fold and unfold better, and help in durability.
Stunning Foldable Display
The Pixel 11 Pro Fold is rumored to be a very large 8.2-inch LTPO OLED foldable display with 120Hz adaptive refresh rate for smoother scrolling, gaming, and multitasking.
The external cover display also has a 120Hz refresh rate to allow users a premium smartphone experience without opening the device.
Both displays are expected to have significantly higher peak brightness and thus much better outdoor visibility than the previous Pixel Fold devices.
Tensor G6 Chip Brings Next-level AI
At the heart of the Pixel 11 Pro Fold is expected to be Google's new Tensor G6 processor, which is supposedly built at the advanced 2nm manufacturing process.
