Apple may have quietly dropped a major clue about the design of the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro through its newly unveiled Siri AI interface.
During WWDC 2026, Apple introduced Siri AI, a significantly upgraded version of its virtual assistant powered by Apple Intelligence. While most of the attention focused on its smarter capabilities, some eagle-eyed observers noticed a curious design detail that could hint at changes coming to the next-generation iPhone. According to reports, the appearance of Siri AI on iPhones differs noticeably from its design on iPads and Macs. On iPhone, Siri AI appears in an elongated oval shape, while on larger Apple devices it is displayed as a perfect orb.
This discrepancy has sparked speculation that Apple designed the orb-shaped Siri experience with the iPhone 18 Pro lineup in mind. Several leaks suggest the company is planning to shrink the Dynamic Island by as much as 35 percent on the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max. A smaller cutout would allow Siri AI's circular animation to fit naturally on the display, unlike the current pill-shaped version seen on existing iPhones.
Rumors surrounding the iPhone 18's front design have shifted repeatedly over recent months. Early reports suggested Apple was working on moving Face ID components beneath the display while leaving only a small camera cutout visible. Other reports later claimed technical challenges had delayed those plans. More recent leaks, however, indicate that Apple may still introduce a significantly smaller Dynamic Island this year.
Despite the excitement, Apple has not confirmed any hardware details about the iPhone 18 lineup. Industry analysts caution that the Siri AI design could simply be a software choice rather than a hidden teaser for future hardware. Still, the timing of the redesign and the growing number of leaks have fueled discussion among Apple fans and industry watchers alike.
The iPhone 18 Pro is widely expected to retain much of the design language introduced with the iPhone 17 Pro, with Apple focusing on refinements rather than a complete overhaul. Alongside a potentially smaller Dynamic Island, the company is also rumored to bring performance improvements, AI-focused upgrades, and enhanced display technology.
Whether Siri AI has genuinely revealed Apple's next design move remains uncertain. However, if the rumors prove accurate, the iPhone 18 Pro could deliver one of the most noticeable front-display improvements in years.
