Dehradun will ensure great opportunities for veterans as Directorate General Resettlement (DGR) (Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare, Ministry of Defence) will host a job fair for Ex-Servicemen at Jaswant Singh Ground, Garhi Cantt on 13 February 2026. This will be a one all-in-one platform, to connect previously active ex-servicemen with leading employers across sectors such as security, IT, administration, logistics, healthcare, and engineering.
Attendees will be able to access recruiters directly, take their cue from this information, and understand the necessary areas of research industry demand to find meaningful employment opportunities following service. “This Job Fair isn't just about getting a job—it’s about equipping our veterans who want to transition into civilian careers so their skills, discipline, and experience show in the workforce,” said a DGR representative.
The fair will also offer career advice and networking experiences to empower attendees to make decisions about where they want to go with their career. It shows the Ministry of Defence’s commitment to veterans’ welfare and resettlement, and is part of a larger effort to try and help those formerly in the military once they return from military service to their community.
Ex-servicemen from Uttarakhand and the nearby countryside will be encouraged to attend, carry their certificates, join this occasion in meeting foremost groups who work under the same name of DGR. DGR aims to honor the service of our veterans by providing a new lease of life for them.
