Weeks of speculation and rumours finally settled and an important look forward to the "special dance number" to be performed in Peddi has arrived. Shruti Haasan will join Ram Charan for energetic music that draws from a big-name hits by A. R. Rahman. The spectacle is to be filmed in Hyderabad in the coming days, adding the fan and industry newsmedia frenzy.
The special track has long been popular among entertainment celebrities who have been tied to it for the past few weeks. Early chatter had Mrunal Thakur as a possible candidate, the gossip, however she didn't corroborate or refute the allegations.
Other names such as Nayanthara and Manasa Varanasi also emerged, albeit with relatively low credibility. Recently, Samyuktha Menon had long been the head-hungering candidate before the production could complete the Shruti Haasan.
This collaboration is their second reunion for the former film Yevadu (2014), featuring Ram Charan and Shruti Haasan as leads. Their musical chemistry in that movie was a hit, and they are in an all time high when it comes to that series to come. Shruti Haasan has always been known for dancing live to a burst of energy. She hit viewers with the Tevar hit “Madhubala,” and appeared in a few films (visited and cameoed) like Vakeel Saab and Hi Nanna. Her dance career with A. R. Rahman features Semmozhi Anthem, thereby enhancing expectation over this venture.
Not only has her recent work on all sorts of big-budget productions, including starring with Prabhas in the blockbuster Salaar, ensured that she has achieved a position. With experience and a lively cast, she will probably bring vigor to Peddi’s special number. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, Peddi is shaping up to be one of the biggest works of the year. The lead, Janhvi Kapoor, is helmed by Shiva Rajkumar.
The anticipated big movie drop in June is making even bigger waves with every new release. Now, with Shruti Haasan on the official board, everyone has held on tighter than ever to the song itself, and that it was a great song in the first place, and it’s the same for the rest of the film.
