Vidyarthi Bhavan's famous breakfast-time was one of the things one wishes to achieve at that institution and a classic. They attended the meal with Tollywood actor Venkatesh Daggubati (better known as Venky Mama) and the Indian numismatist Rezwan Razack who we can call our next billion banknotes expert (and one of the most talented for that) he was our guest. A lot of food was served but cultural music, cinema and history as well (I am living in a comfortable mood and it made a difference in that regard for us) was also the mood when we were there.
Venkatesh Daggubati is celebrated across South India for his diverse acting career of Telugu movies with a great deal of affection from everyone with a lot of other people. His presence at Vidyarthi Bhavan made people like, to be sure. With him Rezwan Razack, co-founder of Prestige Group, was very much known in the Indian currency community. He has this love of the heritage of history with banknotes and so his presence in the morning brought out very different elements in our day.
Vidyarthi Bhavan, located in Basavanagudi, is no longer a restaurant but a cultural icon. Famous for its crispy dosas and traditional South Indian breakfast, it has been serving generations of Bengalureans since 1943. Bringing on Venkatesh and Rezwan Razack as a mix helps not only to keep the restaurant a local business’ main street for people from all categories of society to settle into the first place as well.
The breakfast was warm and hospitable. The staff enjoyed serving one of the most beautiful actors from Tollywood as well as a professional numismatics guy. The atmosphere was full and it was all very warm with the customers who recognized the guests for the first time in the barometer and were happy. Vidyarthi Bhavan enjoyed being able to celebrate serving by the kind service and with the greatest respect.
The meeting represented themes in cinema, history, and the heritage of cuisine as well through the story that comes with that mixture. Venkatesh represents the spirit and energy of Telugu cinema, and Rezwan Razack represents India’s rich financial and cultural history in the form of banknotes. The Vidyarthi Bhavan provided a perfect backdrop; it was good to have such a diverse but communal environment in Bengaluru.
The breakfast at Vidyarthi Bhavan with Venkatesh Daggubati and Rezwan Razack was more than a meal (that we had done– that was a celebration of Bengaluru, of both culture and of heritage and hospitality). For the restaurant the honor was getting to serve distinguished guests and for the city too: food is a portal to connect people from different camps. Things like these shine home to the charm of Bengaluru’s old town and the joy of communal bonding.
