A tragic incident has shocked coastal Karnataka residents after a Class 10 student collapsed in Surinje village of Mangaluru after he played volleyball with his friends in a group of friends in Surinje village near Surathkal in Mangaluru. The student was taken to a nearby hospital and died on arrival; the student, identified as Likhith Amin, was a student in the class.
The tragic incident happened when Likhith was playing volleyball with his friends in his village. He was a witness to the teen collapse on the ground during a game, and those in the vicinity rushed to his aid. He was immediately taken to the nearest hospital by family members and local people to try and save his life, family members and friends said.

The doctors at the hospital declared the young student dead, though. The event came as a complete surprise to his family, friends and classmates in the town.
Police said the exact cause of death is not yet known. The reason behind the student’s sudden collapse will only be known after the post-mortem examination is completed,” added police.
Police said in an interview, “The exact cause of death is yet to be determined and will be known after the post-mortem report.”
In the wake of the incident, police registered a case of unnatural death as per the standard procedure and began the investigation. The body has been sent to the post-mortem office for a post-mortem examination, and the reasons for the death are to be established, whether it was due to some condition or cardiac event or not.
Young people collapsing during sports activities (although it is rare) do not have the right to be considered undiagnosed health problems.
