Residents across the United Arab Emirates will have mostly fair weather over the coming days; however, humid weather is expected to be fair to the UAE’s residents in the coming days, but humidity, a few clouds, occasional cloud cover and stronger winds will affect conditions throughout the country, as local weather could be on the rise in some parts of the country. The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) warned.
They expect the weather to be mostly clear and stable on Saturday, with some cloud development in eastern regions. In inland areas, temperatures will be high: maximum readings are expected to be in the range of 43°C to 47°C. The coast and island region will have temperatures from 36°C to 42°C, with slightly cooler conditions, with temperatures ranging from 32°C to 37°C.
Despite the fair weather, humidity levels are expected to increase substantially at night and into Sunday morning. In some coastal areas, humidity may be as high as 90 percent and fog or mist may be prevalent early in the morning. In low-lying coastal areas of the country, drivers are advised to be cautious.
Winds will be light to moderate in the country, blowing from southwesterly to northwesterly directions at speeds between 10 and 20 km/h. Sometimes winds may freshen and reach speeds up to 35 km/h. Sea conditions in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea are expected to remain quite weak and generally good for maritime activity.
Looking ahead to Sunday, the weather should be mostly unchanged. Skies should remain fairly fair, with some cloud over eastern areas of the country. Humid conditions are still expected for the night and into Monday morning, and winds may shift from southeasterly to northwesterly. Sea conditions are expected to be calmer.
As a result, the weather conditions are going to remain fair on Monday, but stronger winds will develop over coastal waters. Wind speeds could reach up to 40 km/h at times, particularly at the marine coastline. The strong northwesterly winds will lead to rough sea conditions in the Arabian Gulf by late night, and the Oman Sea should be mild.
A slight drop in temperatures is expected on Tuesday as fresh winds move through the region. The NCM has warned that these winds may build up dust and sand in exposed areas and may affect visibility in some places. Sea conditions in the Arabian Gulf are expected to be moderate to rough, and slight in the Oman Sea.
Similar weather patterns are expected to persist through Wednesday. Most parts of the UAE will remain fair conditions, but humidity will return overnight and in coastal parts of the UAE, with humidity returning tomorrow morning. Fresh northwesterly winds will continue blowing dust and rough sea conditions in the western parts of the Arabian Gulf.
Residents are urged to remain hydrated and stay hydrated, restrict outdoor activity during peak afternoon hours, and stay in touch with weather advisories regarding fog development, dust activity, and changing marine conditions over the coming week.
