A major fire quickly consumed a residential house in Bengaluru, after a gas cylinder leak ignited in that unit of the house and set it to boiling into a blast, completely destroying property in it. Good job all of the family survived and were able to escape on time here.
The incident took place at Chowdeshwari Nagar from Laggere Bridge and police officers came in the direction of Rajagopalnagar. A fire started on the first floor of a three-storey house owned by Haragayya and Bhagyamma.
According to preliminary information, this accident occurred when a new LPG cylinder was about to be delivered to all the families as part of their new home life. This new cylinder was even being installed in less than an hour before this happened. After connecting the cylinder, an internal gas leak might have contributed to a fast spread of fire over the floor.
As soon as the flames erupted, family members in the house this time rushed outside. There were five people in the home, including the couple and their two kids. All five survived due to the people quickly coming out of the house.
That fire caused considerable damage to the property. Furniture, clothes, and other personal belongings were all destroyed on that first floor in the building as smoke billowed out and people rushed from and into the street in panic.
Fire and emergency services were notified immediately and teams rushed to the scene. They quickly started to bring the flames under control and stopped it from spreading to the outside of the building and other houses.
Karnataka Fire and Emergency Services said it was contained in time, and that the situation was not at risk of a crisis-like situation in the future.
Further police officers visited Rajagopalnagar. An inspection was done around the place trying to know what caused this.
LPG cylinders can be equally hazardous to safety and this process also has to be taken care of carefully and with great care once again when starting or replacing cylinders which need to be looked at constantly, not to mention inspections for leaks and proper handling procedures.
And it's a powerful message: how quickly a poor safety breach can put a large disaster in motion but quick care to avoid those kinds of things so that your team can respond quickly is the sole requirement of survival.
