CJP co-convener Saurav Das has announced that he and other members of the outfit will march to Parliament Street Police Station in New Delhi to seek justice for student protester Nishu and her father, Sanjay, who were allegedly assaulted. Das said in his post on X that the organisation would continue to stand with students and protesters who are seeking justice.
The development comes at a time when allegations of the assault of Sanjay, father of Nishu, a student protester who participated in the Jantar Mantar stir, are growing. Das states that the family had been trying to bring justice to the case and social media has been spreading the word about the situation.
Das continued in his post, saying the group has been committed from the beginning to students and protesters. No student or protester should be left to fight such a battle alone, he said. Nishu and her father’s assault was serious and the authorities should act, he said.

Das also referred to Swatantra Bhardwaj, whose video has gone viral on social media. In the video, Bhardwaj is seen admitting to assaulting Sanjay. He also made claims about getting backing from Delhi Minister Kapil Mishra and Union Minister Chirag Paswan. These claims and the contents of the viral video have led to strong reactions online.
Das added that taking note of the video, the alleged admission made in the recording should be taken seriously. He accused criminal elements of openly making serious claims and said law enforcement agencies should take appropriate action. Das continued that there was now an alleged admission available in the public domain and questioned if those responsible would face punishment.

But the CJP leader said the group would not let the issue be dismissed. His call for a march to Parliament Street Police Station is to put pressure on Nishu and Sanjay for justice. The visit is coming as social media users and politicians continue to debate and call for accountability.
