The Cockroach Janta Party has intensified its political offensive against the central government while simultaneously holding a crucial core committee meeting to map out its future nationwide strategy. Following a high-profile demonstration in the national capital, CJP chief spokesperson Saurav Das launched a scathing attack on the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party, demanding complete financial transparency and questioning the exact sources of the ruling party's funding. Addressing a media briefing on Wednesday, Das announced that the party leadership is actively deliberating on ways to take their movement down to the grassroots level after witnessing overwhelming public participation during their recent demonstrations. He noted that the core committee is carefully strategizing the way forward and will formally unveil its comprehensive roadmap for future agitations.
Directing his critique toward the central administration, Das questioned the repeated demands for document verification imposed upon their movement while pointing out an alleged lack of financial accountability within the ruling establishment. Challenging the authorities directly, Das demanded a rigorous, independent audit of both the Prime Minister's Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund and the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund. He argued that if the government routinely demands legal paperwork and administrative documentation from public movements, it must likewise exhibit total transparency regarding its own financial books and electoral funding sources. Furthermore, Das raised serious concerns regarding alleged law enforcement actions during their recent July 20 'Chalo Sansad' march, demanding that Union Home Minister Amit Shah address the matter through a parliamentary discussion to provide accountability for alleged police brutality.
Meanwhile, CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke shed light on the organizational objectives of the core committee meeting, emphasizing that the leadership is reviewing the overall execution and feedback from their landmark Jantar Mantar protest. Dipke explained that the ongoing discussions are heavily focused on streamlining organizational expansion, strengthening local units, and broadening the group's geographical presence across the country before finalising subsequent phases of the movement. Addressing widespread media speculation regarding whether the grassroots organization intends to transition into a formal political entity, Dipke clarified that no such proposal is currently under consideration. He affirmed that a firm consensus exists among members to maintain the collective's identity as an independent social movement rather than entering electoral politics at this stage.
