₹1 Lakh Reward fugitive found on Sohna-Gurgaon Road
On a different but equally grand operation on Sunday evening, a joint unit of the Gurgaon Crime Branch (Sector-40) and Crime Branch Punhana (Mewat) captured a dreaded interstate criminal after a shootout on Sohna-Gurgaon highway. It will be an Indian National Crime Police Department’s arrest of Yadram. The accused, who is 50 years old and called Yadram, a native of Auraiya, Uttar Pradesh, has been eluding detention for years. He had a ₹1 lakh bounty on his head and was sought for nearly two dozen murder, robbery, and housebreaking cases throughout Haryana, Rajasthan and UP. The Chase: Police got a tip-off that Yadram was in motion on a numberless motorcycle headed toward Sohna. They had made a blockade around Mahendwara village.
The Gunfight:
Yadram opened fire upon the police vehicle and Sub-Inspector Lalit Kumar's bulletproof jacket, resulting in its crash at 10:15 PM. Concerns: Police fired four rounds in self-defense and struck Yadram in both legs. He was seized with two illegal pistols, and also with a cache of cartridges.
Strategic Victory for Delhi-NCR Police
And this series of encounters, in turn, is a sign of a zero-tolerance approach to aggressive gang activity in the area. Such arrests are included in an effort to break up criminal groups working across state lines, officials said.
