Dharwad: A youth has been arrested by the Dharwad Traffic Police for an unsafe bike wheeling stunt on an extremely busy Jubilee Circle, where the safety of people and cars is at stake.
Police said at the public junction, the rider was seen doing crazy stunts on his motorcycle. The dangerous act was done in full public view and might cause a hazard to commuters on the road.

After the stunt, the youth allegedly posted the video on social media, and that video went viral. The video soon went viral, and traffic police came to the scene to investigate.
Police tracked the rider through CCTV footage
Based on CCTV footage from the area and other evidence available, officers of Dharwad Traffic Police immediately identified the motorcycle rider and traced him to his location.
The youth was taken into custody for questioning, and legal action was initiated at the Dharwad Traffic Police Station.
Warning Against Reckless Riding
Police said in a statement that stunts like wheeling on public roads are dangerous to the rider as well as others on the road. “We have very serious penalties for people who do this and use public roads to do stunts to get a lot of attention on social media,” said an official.
Young people also need to abide by road safety laws and not be too eager to go beyond what is safe for online popularity, and not risk life for fame on the street to make money and become popular. Parents and guardians told young riders to talk to children about safe driving and the legal consequences of reckless behaviour, the consequences of dangerous driving and what they’re going to do wrong, and not to take risks to avoid driving the way they do, safety rules, and avoid crashing and driving too much, and to go too fast for their own safety precautions, traffic officials also said.
The Dharwad Traffic Police said surveillance cameras in the city are being monitored for violations, and the same violations will be dealt with firmly, in order to ensure public safety.
