Bengaluru City Police Commissioner Seemanth Kumar Singh chaired a meeting with Joint Commissioners of Police, Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) and traffic police officials to discuss the arrangements and issue necessary instructions.

After the meeting, the Police Commissioner said only guests would be allowed to enter the swearing-in venue at Lok Bhavan. Members of the general public will not be allowed to attend the event.

We have gathered complete information about the distribution of passes for the ceremony. Necessary changes have been made to traffic routes, and as of now, there is no information regarding any roadshow. Since several VIPs from other states are expected to attend the event, adequate security personnel have also been deployed for their protection.

Traffic Curbs and Security Measures

With so many dignitaries and political leaders expected to arrive in Bengaluru for the ceremony, police are bracing for heavy traffic congestion in and around Lok Bhavan and surrounding areas. Security personnel have been stationed at key places to ensure the smooth conduct of the event and maintain law and order.

Additionally, traffic police have planned route diversions and restrictions in some parts of the venue to facilitate the movement of VIP convoys and avoid congestion.

Half-Day Holiday for Government Employees

In view of the expected crowd and traffic restrictions around the administrative district, the Karnataka government has declared a half-day holiday for officers and staff working at Vidhana Soudha, Vikasa Soudha and the Multi-Storeyed Building complex on June 3.

The order was issued by R. Yadu Kumar, Under Secretary (In-Charge) of the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms. In view of security concerns and anticipated public gatherings around Lok Bhavan and nearby government offices, the decision was taken.

We want to have smooth security operations and minimise inconvenience to employees during the high-profile swearing-in ceremony, the officials said.

With increased security, restricted access and traffic diversions in place, authorities have also advised commuters and government workers to plan their travel accordingly on June 3.
