FBI Most Wanted: Major Singh of Jaggu Bhagwanpuria Gang Faces RICO, Arms Conspiracy Charges in US

Major Singh is at the center of the FBI's wanted list in the United States due to his links to the Jaggu Bhagwanpuria Organized Crime Group, a transnational criminal group that U.S. authorities allege has operated across international borders. The FBI and its partners in India are also taking an increasing interest in organised criminal networks associated with India and their activities in the United States as it grows in number and scale.

Major Singh is wanted for conspiracy to violate the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act and to trade firearms without a license, the FBI said.

The allegations against Singh are serious, but they remain allegations unless and until proven in court. The FBI’s wanted notice states that a federal arrest warrant was issued for him on June 25, 2026. The agency has appealed to the public for any information that might help authorities locate him.

The Jaggu Bhagwanpuria Organized Crime Group is a transnational organised criminal organization in Punjab according to US authorities. That group expanded beyond India to other countries and even had criminal affiliation in the U.S., authorities said.

The RICO charge is particularly significant as organized criminal activity carried out through an ongoing enterprise is covered by US law. A RICO conspiracy charge generally refers to an alleged agreement to participate in conduct associated with such an organisation. The other firearms-related charge is conspiracy to conduct a firearms business without the required federal licence.

FBI records indicate Major Singh was born on July 20, 1997. The agency lists his nationality as Indian and he is around 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs around 182 pounds. He has black hair and black eyes. The FBI has released his picture and is trying to locate him in search of information.

The agency has said anyone who has information about the case should contact a local FBI office, the nearest US embassy or consulate, or put down a tip through its official online tip system. The appeal is in keeping with the international nature of the investigation and the effort to track those who have been linked to transnational criminal organisations.

The development is part of a larger US law enforcement investigation in relation to alleged criminal networks with links to India. In August 2026, authorities in the United States, Canada, and Europe also collaborated and arrested 24 individuals in the joint operation which resulted in 11 arrests, including 11 in California. The operation focused on alleged members and associates of several India-based transnational organised crime groups.

The US Department of Justice has also charged dozens of people as part of what authorities have termed “Operation Hardball.” The indictment contains 37 people, including imprisoned Punjab gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi and Jaggu Bhagwanpuria, the investigators say. The allegations in the larger case are alleged to be criminal activities and represent the extent of the investigation being conducted by American authorities.

So Major Singh being listed on the FBI wanted list is yet another step in an investigation of transnational organised crime networks in the US. And it also shows the growing cooperation between law enforcement agencies across the globe as investigators seek to find criminal organizations that have been reported to have activities beyond the borders of their countries.

The US authorities still have Singh wanted and the charges against him have to go through the American judicial system. Being on the wanted list and being charged does not by itself establish guilt. It will ultimately depend on the evidence and the legal proceedings before the US courts.

The FBI's public appeal for information is key to the agency's search for Singh and advance of the case. The Jaggu Bhagwanpuria Organized Crime Group and its associates are being sought for a full investigation with international cooperation and information from the public as they go through their investigations.
