Chennamma, wife of former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda, continues to be treated at Manipal Hospital on Old Airport Road in Bengaluru, where she has been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) after chest heaviness and breathing problems.
Chennamma has been under medical care since Wednesday as a result of discomfort in the chest and respiratory distress, she said. Senior doctors are now checking her and giving her the proper treatment.
Doctors are due to issue another medical bulletin on Friday morning, which will probably be in the form of an update on her current health status, treatment that she has been through so far, and her response to the medical care.

Deve Gowda spent time with his wife at the hospital, and Union Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy and senior JD(S) leader H.D. Revanna were also present to meet doctors and have a look at her condition.
