It involved using the police to patrol high‑traffic areas, commercial centers and densely populated communities throughout the city during the operation. The suspicious trucks, bikes, and persons were reviewed for any undesirable events as a check on vehicles and people. Unknown persons and vehicles were questioned and vehicles were checked in delicate areas in order to increase vigilant monitoring. Those steps, authorities said, would bolster popular trust and promote a more peaceful and joyful festival life. Residents were told to see police presence in key areas, giving them some sort of reassurance, evidence for the department’s focus on proactive security.

Shops and street vendors that opened after hours were told to close immediately thereafter. Companies were reminded that the rules must be followed and there was no margin for exception. The measure was meant to ease the streets and avoid disturbances over the festive season. A senior police officer said, “Ensuring law and order around festival times is top of mind. Such preventative actions are implemented in an effort to avoid unwanted incidents or public unrest.”

This operation kept police alert, 24×7, giving citizens a feeling of safety and security. It’s a very festive feeling for the community and the families to know they are constantly under observation and not letting thefts, violence and disorder go on. The presence of police everywhere the city went also gave the public faith that officials were set up for any emergency, and it made the community and guests feel no fear of celebrating.

By combining preventive policing with reassurance from the community, the operation ensured that Mysuru citizens could enjoy the festivals in a calm and secure environment. The city’s citizens trusted the police force since the city’s public safety was top of mind during this time of increased activity. “We operated effectively at Ugadi and Ramadan within a regulated safety atmosphere, and that is a sign that it was very much committed to not only keeping Mysuru safe through this process. The police took proactive measures to preserve the festival spirit with low concerns for public safety.”
