Bengaluru residents who are going to participate in the large-scale tree plantation drive and walkathon being organised across the city on June 27 will have special early morning Namma Metro services. The BMRCL has announced that metro train operations will start on Friday at 4:00 AM to be able to provide smooth and convenient transport for participants attending the events organised with the help of BDA.
The special arrangement is in place so that thousands of people who take part in the environmental project can get there without difficulty. The tree plantation drive and walkathon will see people from all areas of Bengaluru taking part, so public transportation is important to the success of the event.
The BMRCL announced that Namma Metro lines and terminal stations will begin train transport at 4:00 AM, which is one hour earlier than the regular Saturday times. The metro services will begin at 5:00 AM on Saturdays. However, as the plantation campaign and walkathon are on the rise, there is a need for early morning support for the company.
