Polavaram, Andhra Pradesh: The health situation in Gollaguppa village has caused great concern in the community after a seven-year-old girl died in Bhadrachalam Area Hospital.

Polavaram District Collector K. Dinesh Kumar visited Bhadrachalam Area Hospital and observed the medical care being provided to the people affected by the incident in Gollaguppa village.
The Collector took stock of the patients’ health condition and the medical arrangements made by hospital authorities and officials.
The deceased is Madivi Jamuna, seven, who was being treated for her illnesses at Bhadrachalam Area Hospital.
The death of Madivi Jamuna has added to the mounting pressure on the administration to monitor the health of the remaining people who have been affected and get them medical help.
According to district administration, the situation in Gollaguppa is now under control. So far there are no further complications and there are precautions taken to prevent any further complications and that medical care of the sick people is better.
As part of these measures, 23 people undergoing treatment at Lakshmipuram Primary Health Centre (PHC) were shifted to Bhadrachalam Area Hospital. The move was to give them better medical services and better healthcare facilities.
After the transfer, the total number of affected people at Bhadrachalam Area Hospital is 52. The patients are being kept under constant medical care by doctors and healthcare personnel.
The administration's response follows an investigation into the health episode in Gollaguppa. Medical teams are monitoring the patients and authorities are monitoring the area.
The Collector’s hospital visit also served as a demonstration from the administration that it is taking care of the patients in the midst of all this.
