The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has moved a step closer to appointing its first chief executive officer and there are three candidates for the position among them, it appears. The final one is likely to be made at a Trust meeting in Ayodhya, a step in the direction of institutionalizing the Ram Temple and its expanding operations.
According to reports, all three shortlisted candidates are from Uttar Pradesh and have professional experience involving government bodies and major projects in different parts of the country. One of the candidates is said to be a retired military officer. But none of the three finalists is said to be a bureaucrat or a former police officer.

After the initial screening and evaluation, 16 finalists took part in face-to-face meetings in Ayodhya on August 11 and 12.

The panel consists of retired Supreme Court judge Justice Pramod Kohli, retired Lieutenant General Vishnu Kant Chaturvedi and retired nuclear scientist Suresh Haware.
The committee’s diverse membership indicates the need for a person with the appropriate leadership and administrative skills.
Suresh Haware also has experience in religious institution administration and served as chairperson of Shri Saibaba Sansthan Trust in Shirdi.
The committee evaluated candidates in multiple stages of the process and came to a determination that the final panel of three potential candidates would be considered by the Trust.

The CEO should also coordinate arrangements for key events and coordinate the arrangements when it comes to what the event will be. Working with government agencies, local authorities and other stakeholders to provide facilities and services can be done.
It is expected to require organisational skills, previous experience in large-scale projects as well as coordination between various institutions.
