IPL 2026 Bengaluru Match: Traffic Rules, Parking & Entry Details for RCB vs SRH

The much-awaited opening match of Indian Premier League 2026 will be held on March 28 in Bengaluru, featuring a high-voltage clash between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). With massive fan turnout expected, authorities have rolled out detailed traffic and parking arrangements to manage the crowd efficiently around the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.

Major Traffic Restrictions Announced

To ensure smooth movement and public safety, Bengaluru Traffic Police have imposed strict restrictions on vehicle movement in and around the stadium on match days. Key roads will remain closed or restricted from March 28 to April 5 during match hours.

The following routes will be completely closed:

  • Queens Road
  • Balekundri Road
  • CTO Junction

Additionally, vehicle movement will be restricted on:

  • Stretch from Anil Kumble Circle to Anil Kumble Junction on MG Road
  • MG Road to Cubbon Road

Other major roads facing restrictions on both sides include:

  • Raj Bhavan Road
  • T. Chowdaiah Road
  • Race Course Road
  • Central Street

Further, movement will be restricted between Queens Circle and Hudson Circle, and from Cash Pharmacy Junction to Anil Kumble Circle.

Parking Restrictions and Alternatives

Parking will be strictly prohibited in key areas such as:

  • King Road
  • Press Club surroundings
  • Fountain Road (near Bal Bhavan)

To accommodate fans, designated parking spaces have been arranged, operational from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM. These include:

  • St. Joseph’s Indian High School Ground
  • St. Joseph’s School Ground (Vittal Mallya Road)
  • Freedom Park (Multi-Level Car Parking)
  • Garuda Mall parking area
  • Shivajinagar Bus Stand (first floor)
  • UB City parking facility

Entry and Exit Gates for Fans

Authorities have also streamlined entry and exit points to avoid congestion:

Entry Gates:
E1 to E3, E11 to E17, E18, E19, and E22

Exit Gates (Post Match):
E5, E8, E09, and E9A

Gate E10 has been reserved exclusively for players, VIPs, and special guests.

Cab and Auto Pick-Up Points

Dedicated pick-up and drop-off zones have been identified to ease commuter movement:

  • BRV Ground (Gate No. 6)
  • Manekshaw Parade Ground (Gate No. 3)
