Sri Lankan all-rounder Sonal Dinusha has made his mark in Test cricket with a remarkable run against India. The 25-year-old left-handed batter has scored 100, 84 and 103 in his first three Test innings against India, in a very small group of players in cricket.
Dinusha was one of the most talked-about players in this India vs Sri Lanka Test series. Even though Sri Lanka's batting team is not performing well against India's bowling attack, he has been able to score runs.
His latest feat was in the second Test in Colombo, where he scored 103 runs. That century followed 100 and 84 in the first Test in Galle. His three consecutive scores of 80 or more against India have now placed him alongside some of the great names in Test cricket.
Sonal Dinusha Joins Elite Club Of Test Batters
Dinusha is only the third batsman in Test history to score at least 80 runs in each of his first three Test innings against India.
The two players who did it before him were West Indies legend Everton Weekes in 1948 and Pakistan great Zaheer Abbas in 1978. Dinusha did it 48 years after Abbas became the first player to do so.
Even more remarkable, Sonal Dinusha achieved the record in his first Test series against India.

Dinusha is now one of Sri Lanka’s most crucial hitters in the series due to his consistency.
Sri Lanka has a tough time keeping their batting line-up together against India. But Dinusha has stepped up whenever his team needed runs. And he’s kept Sri Lanka from suffering even worse losses by staying at the crease and building up an innings.
His performances have also attracted attention because he is still relatively new to Test cricket. Dinusha is a left-handed all-rounder who bowls slow left-arm orthodox deliveries.
