Mechanical updates and the Turbo-Automatic Disconnect. The main mechanical upgrade for the 2026 version is Maruti Suzuki’s 1.0-litre direct-injection turbo-petrol engine, which produces 110hp and 170Nm of torque. The entry-level LXi Turbo is priced well below the 1.5-litre petrol manual model by almost Rs 90,000, which stands as the ideal entry in the market.
But buyers must be aware that there is a limit: the 1.0-litre turbo engine is now coupled to a new 6-speed manual gearbox for all trim levels. And those desiring an automatic transmission are still limited to the older 1.03-litre, 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine (103hp and 139Nm) with a 6-speed torque converter automatic. Dual-fuel seekers still have the CNG option, but now there is a new underbody tank layout that can reclaim crucial boot space.
Price Revisions and What Buyers Should Check. Along with the new turbo options, prices of legacy 1.5-litre petrol variants are up by up to Rs 69,000 in this lifecycle refresh.
The change is a silver lining as the 6-speed manual gearbox is standard across all lines and replaces the older 5-year-plus legacy 5-speed even on baseline trims. Prospective owners who have pre-update quotations should check their ex-showroom and on-road numbers with the dealerships to take into account the latest changes.
