Triumph has introduced the updated 2026 Daytona 660 in India with a number of updated technology and features for the middleweight sportbike to improve its riding performance. The new bike is available at Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom), which is 11,000 higher than the former one. Triumph has not gone all that deep with the new Daytona 660 mechanical side, but has focused on aspects that have a huge impact on handling, gear change, tyre performance and equipment levels.
One of the biggest changes for the 2026 model is the inclusion of a bi-directional quickshifter as standard. In the past, the feature was a pricey purchase option and buyers were forced to pay more for clutchless upshifts and downshifts. With the new model the quickshifter is part of the motorcycle’s standard equipment so the Daytona 660 is a package from the showroom right now.
1. Adjustable Showa Front Fork
The Triumph Daytona 660 2026 is now equipped with a 41mm Showa upside-down front fork with compression and rebound adjustability that allows the rider to adjust the front suspension based on their riding style, road conditions and preferences.
The suspension still has 110mm of travel, so Triumph hasn’t changed any geometry or travel figures there. Instead, it is a matter of controlling the bike’s front end response. Riders who enjoy spirited riding or have motorcycles on a track will benefit from the ability to adjust the fork to brake and corner.
2. Bi-Directional Quickshifter Becomes Standard
The second major update is a bi-directional quickshifter as standard equipment. The system allows riders to shift up and down through the six-speed gearbox without using the clutch, so rapid gear changes are smoother and more convenient.
The quickshifter is especially useful on a sports bike with an aggressive look like the Daytona 660. This way customers don’t have to buy the feature separately which adds to the value of the new motorcycle despite the small price hike of its ex-showroom price.
3. Michelin Tyres Replaced By Metzeler M9 RR
Triumph has also changed the tyre setup on the Daytona 660. Michelin Power 6 tyres have been replaced by Metzeler M9 RR rubber.
Tyres are critical for the overall riding characteristics of a motorcycle and are responsible for grip, cornering confidence, braking feel and feedback. The Metzeler M9 RR is so far another significant change to the 2026 model but it does not change the vehicle’s engine or chassis specifications.
4. Engine And Rear Suspension Remain The Same
Despite the equipment upgrades Triumph has kept the Daytona 660's current engine. The motorcycle is still powered by a 660cc inline-three-cylinder engine producing 94bhp and 68Nm of peak torque. The six-speed transmission is still there.
The rear suspension setup also remains unchanged with a monoshock with preload adjustability and 130mm wheel travel. That is why the 2026 model is not a performance-generation change. Triumph has been focusing on adjusting adjustability and standard equipment and maintaining the existing powertrain.
5. New Colour Choices
The new Daytona 660 also has new colour combinations with which buyers can select the motorcycle. The 2026 range will be Aluminium Silver with Sapphire Black, Cosmic Yellow with Sapphire Black and a Sapphire Black finish.
The new colour choices add some visual flair to the motorcycle without impacting its basic shape. The Daytona 660 continues to sit in Triumph’s middleweight sportbike arena, combining an aggressive design with the company’s three-cylinder engine configuration.

The 2026 Triumph Daytona 660 is priced at Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. The increase of Rs 11,000 over the previous model is rather small considering that the bi-directional quickshifter is now part of the standard equipment.
Triumph’s new update is more about refinement than performance. The 660cc engine is unchanged so no more power or torque to talk about; the adjustable front suspension, standard quickshifter, new Metzeler tyres and colour options make it a new motorcycle. The 2026 Daytona 660 is a good buy for middleweight sportbike enthusiasts and offers a new package of equipment without changing the character of the motorcycle much.
