The new Triumph Daytona 660 (2026) released in India has been updated to have a bigger hardware package and a small price increase over the outgoing one. A price of Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom) is now the new middleweight sportbike that is Rs 11,000 more expensive than the previous model. Triumph has also improved the suspension setup, tyre performance and riding ability of the motorcycle with some new equipment.
The front suspension on the 2026 Triumph Daytona 660 has been modified considerably. The motorcycle still uses a 41mm Showa upside-down fork but the front suspension has compression and rebound adjustment. It enables the rider to tune the front suspension to fit the riding situation and personal taste very well. The suspension travel is unchanged at 110mm.
The Daytona 660 continues with a Showa monoshock with preload adjustment at the rear. The rear suspension is 130mm of travel and the basic suspension setup remains the same. The front suspension has more control, but the front has more flexibility and an overall more versatile hardware package for the 2026 model.
Another significant update is tyres. Triumph has replaced the Michelin Power 6 tyres on the earlier model with Metzeler Sportec M9RR. The new tyre setup is one of the key hardware changes introduced for the 2026 Daytona 660 and as such will help to suit the sporty aspect of the bike.
The transmission has been improved too. The bi-directional quickshifter that was initially available as an optional addition is now standard. It lets the rider transition upshifts and downshifts faster without the need to use the conventional clutch. Making the quickshifter standard also adds some extra equipment value to the motorcycle without requiring buyers to pay separately for the feature.
2026 Triumph Daytona 660: New Colours
Triumph has also updated the colour scheme for the Daytona 660 in 2026. The motorcycle is now available in three new colours: Aluminium Silver, Cosmic Yellow and Sapphire Black. Aluminium Silver and Cosmic Yellow are coupled with Sapphire Black graphics making the sportbike look different.
Aside from the new colour scheme, there are no major styling changes with the motorcycle. The overall shape, bodywork and sporting silhouette are all the same from the original model. So the 2026 Daytona 660 retains its classic full-fairing design and small proportions.
2026 Triumph Daytona 660: Engine And Performance
The mechanical heart of the motorcycle has been the same. The 2026 Triumph Daytona 660 still uses a 660cc, three-cylinder petrol engine. It produces 95hp and 68Nm of peak torque and is paired with a six-speed gearbox.
The decision to keep the engine is the main change in the 2026 model that is largely equipment oriented, not performance. The three-cylinder configuration is still one of the most important elements of the Daytona 660, positioned between the smaller twin-cylinder motorcycles and the larger four-cylinder performance machines in the middleweight class.
2026 Triumph Daytona 660: Price In India
The 2026 Triumph Daytona 660 is priced at Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. The outgoing model was available for Rs 9.88 lakh, so the new model is Rs 11,000 more expensive.
Even with the price increase, Triumph has added several interesting features to the motorcycle. The adjustable front fork, Metzeler Sportec M9RR tyres and standard bi-directional quickshifter are the main differences in 2026 from its predecessor.
Triumph has been making the motorcycle hardware and equipment upgrades rather than entirely redesigning the bike. The new Daytona 660 has the same 660cc three-cylinder powertrain, but with a new suspension system, revised tyres, a standard quickshifter and new colour options and so on.
