When will Renault Duster get launched in India?
Renault is on the way to introducing an electrified version of its Duster line for India. The Renault Duster Hybrid will launch on 17 October 2026 - the company will announce the price of its new strong-hybrid SUV.
The hybrid will be the third powertrain option for the latest generation Duster along with the 1.0-litre and 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engines. Renault's new E-Tech strong-hybrid system will bring about a huge boost in fuel efficiency but still retain the SUV's performance-oriented character.

The current Duster range is priced at around ₹10.49 lakh to ₹18.69 lakh in ex-showroom prices, which is the price range, but this range is on a scale of ₹18.69 lakh-₹10.49 lakh depending on the type of the Duster Hybrid depending on the vehicle and powertrain.
The hybrid will be available in higher-end versions and will be priced higher than petrol versions of the model so that it could be around ₹2 lakh higher than petrol variants and may command a premium of ₹2 lakh more than petrol models (the latter being around ₹2 lakh on average for most of the other petrol versions according to the industry estimates as far as we know).
This means that the Duster Hybrid will be around ₹20 lakh for the high-end variants but the exact pricing in terms of the variants will only be known for more advanced version in the future but the exact pricing will come to be confirmed with Renault when Renault officially announces its official launch date on October 17.
The pricing is crucial for the Duster Hybrid as a midsize SUV with strong hybrid technology will enter a space of increasing demand. Hybrid versions of Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder and Maruti Suzuki Victoris are expected to be among its competitors. The Duster will also be up against hybrid versions from other manufacturers as the midsize SUV market gets increasingly electrified.
Renault Duster Hybrid Mileage: Expected 22-25 kmpl
Fuel efficiency is likely to be one of the biggest attractions of the Duster Hybrid. The SUV could deliver between 22kmpl and 25kmpl in terms of certified mileage, though the final certified mileage number has not yet been announced. Real-world mileage will naturally vary in terms of traffic, driving style, road conditions, air-conditioning usage and vehicle load.
Renault says the hybrid system could allow the Duster to run up to 80 percent of city driving in EV mode. This is possible because the electric motor can drive most of low-speed and stop-and-go driving, while the petrol engine will take over when more power is required. Regenerative braking also helps to recover energy and recharge the battery in the course of driving. For buyers who spend a lot of time on busy city streets, this hybrid operation could make the Duster even more interesting. The Renault Duster Hybrid is expected to be essentially the same as the petrol-powered version. The big difference from the inside of the car on most surfaces could be that the HYBRID badging on the tailgate. Renault had previously promised that the strong hybrid Duster would arrive around Diwali 2026. Now the company has claimed October 17 as the date for the hybrid price announcement/launch. Reports also indicate that the first 2026 hybrid production allocation has already received a strong response with Renault having previously stated that its planned hybrid allocation for 2026 was fully booked.

Renault Duster Hybrid vs Existing Petrol Versions. The biggest difference between the hybrid and petrol Duster will be how the powertrain manages fuel consumption.
