New Delhi: In India, Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses are now available in real form with a mix of Ray-Ban style and artificial intelligence-based features. The Ray-Ban Meta Gen 3 has been launched in India with a starting price of ₹44,300 and is ₹4,400 more expensive than the previous generation of Ray-Ban Meta for which it launched at ₹39,900.
The third-generation smart glasses were introduced at Meta Connect 2026 and are now available to Indian consumers. Unlike traditional smart glasses that have a very high technological look and feel, the Ray-Ban Meta Gen 3 is still a traditional eyewear and it still includes cameras, microphones, speakers, and Meta AI.
Ray-Ban Meta Gen 3 India Price
In India, the Ray-Ban Meta Gen 3 starts at ₹44,300 for select frame and lens combinations. Customers can choose from three frame styles: Wayfarer, Aviator, and Zena. Polarised versions are priced around ₹46,500 and Transitions variants go for ₹50,100 depending on the configuration.
The price is a moderate increase over the second-generation Ray-Ban Meta glasses which were launched in India at ₹39,900. The new model carries a ₹4,400 premium at the entry level.
Longer Battery Life
One of the biggest upgrades with Gen 3 is battery performance. Meta rates the new smart glasses for up to nine hours of use on a single charge, compared to up to eight hours on Gen 2. The charging case can offer up to 50 more hours of battery life, which is up from the previous generation's 48-hour figure.
The improvement might be particularly useful for people who use the glasses throughout the day for calls, music, AI interactions, and photography.
Improved Microphones and Audio Capture
Meta has also upgraded the microphone system. The Gen 3 uses a six-microphone array, as opposed to five microphones on the Gen 2. Meta says the new system can reduce more than 90 percent of background noise, providing voice commands and calls in noisy or windy environments.
The glasses are still open-ear audio-compatible and users can listen to music and make calls without completely blocking off the surrounding sounds.
New Customisable Action Button
Other features are the customisable action button to access Meta AI faster. This opens up a more direct way to interact with the glasses without relying purely on voice commands.
Meta also is preparing Dolby Atmos capture support for the glasses. When it is available, users will be able to take videos with spatial audio and get a more immersive sound experience with captured content. The feature will be rolled out later in 2026.
Camera and AI Features
The Ray-Ban Meta Gen 3 retains the core concept of the earlier models: users can take photos and videos, listen to music, make calls, and interact with Meta AI while keeping the phone in their pocket.
Meta's AI capabilities are designed to make the glasses more useful in everyday situations. Users can ask questions about things they see, get information about landmarks, and interact with the assistant while on the move. The Ray-Ban listing also includes dynamic photo capture and AI-assisted highlight videos.
The expanded frame set is another part of the launch. Besides a Wayfarer-like design, Indian shoppers can now select Aviator and Zena. Meta is also offering a wider range of colours and lens combinations worldwide.
In general, Ray-Ban Meta Gen 3 focuses on refining the smart glasses experience rather than completely changing the product. Longer battery life, better voice pickup, new frame designs, and easier Meta AI access are among the key upgrades.
For the Gen 2 owners, the improvements will not have a big generational leap. But for consumers looking to enter the smart-glasses category for the first time, the Gen 3 is a more polished combination of conventional eyewear, AI assistance, photography, music, and hands-free communication.
With a price of ₹44,300 in India, Ray-Ban Meta Gen 3 is a premium wearable with a crossover between fashion and emerging AI technology.
