The film crossed the ₹55 crore mark just with its release on April 10, 2026, eleven days ago. Vignesh Shivan directed it, and the film went off without a hitch, achieving box office success, good reviews, a solid release, and a lot of audience curiosity with its unique combination of sci-fi and romance.

The opening weekend was good too, with solid collections for the film which brought in more than ₹7 crore on its first day, while the momentum continued for days afterwards. But like any theatrical show, Love Insurance Company has stalled on weekdays. Trade analysts estimate the net value of the film to be around ₹0.64 crore on Day 11 (the second Monday). The occupancy was low with only 17.8% at the time, and about 1,343 shows in different locations. The drop in attendance is in line with the normal decrease in foot traffic in the second week.

While not very high at the moment, the film has delivered fairly stellar cumulative results. Its India net collection is estimated at ₹38.20 crore, and India gross at ₹44.11 crore. Overseas markets have also added ₹11.10 crore, providing a total global gross of approximately ₹55.21 crore. Tamil still accounts for the most earnings, about ₹0.55 crore on Day 11, with Tamil being its leading source.

The translated version in Telugu amounted to about ₹0.09 crore. Occupancy levels in both versions were under 20%, showing a normal weekday phenomenon, not a dramatic drop in occupancy.

The film went up a bit the second weekend, indicating that word-of-mouth and audience interaction is something keeping the show going. But the Day 11 numbers demonstrate LIK is now entering a period where maintaining that momentum will be tough, particularly as upcoming releases grab their share of screen space. So far, Love Insurance Company has performed well at the box office.

Crossing the ₹55 crore world record is an impressive feat, not to mention it is one that a film of half a dozen genres would be a huge accomplishment. Once we come to the end of the late second week, the focus will be on whether it will continue to perform or fade even further in the coming days.
