But there are already extraordinarily lofty expectations for Samantha as a screen presence and Nandini Reddy as a director. Then we think that a strong technical team, that’s just another advantage of this film.
Santhosh Narayanan is the composer of the music - it shares the signature originality, although with the genius for using stories to create art. Om Prakash does all of the movie-building work for which its visual spectacles should be its visual spectacles where its content frames work together with mood and narrative and the whole point is to continue the movie’s visual aesthetic.
Maa Inti Bangaaram is another main effort on that journey, in Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s case. She has earned an increasing reputation for her art of translating her parts across languages, and isn’t doing any worse than crossing genres as she deliberately reaches out to fans. The lead actress and co-producer, she emphasizes how content-driven the cinematographic aesthetic is falling under her belt. The May 15 release does, indeed, position the movie in the same kind of big summer fare canon you get to expect when a big-ticket box-office success is atop it all. And, with a corps of folks behind it and excitement buzzing about it Maa Inti Bangaaram is going to attract the locals.
