Ranveer Singh Faces Trouble After Exiting ‘Don 3’; FWICE Calls For Non-Cooperation

The Bollywood star Ranveer Singh was the star in hot water when he departed from his much-hyped film Don 3. After quitting the deal, the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has allegedly decided to move towards the non-cooperation motion against the star, thus indirectly curtailing his future in the cinema.

FWICE is believed to have decided on an in-house, senior management briefing on Monday, May 25. The federation is said to have taken this all seriously, especially because the film was well into its production stage.

Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani owned Excel Entertainment, where the movie was being made. Before Ranveer Singh left the series, it was also reported that the production house had already invested crores of rupees in pre-production work and major planning activities.

According to reports, Ashoke Pandit, chief advisor with FWICE, was extremely fed up with actors quitting projects just days before filming was scheduled to begin. The federation said last-minute decisions from these people will result in massive financial losses and operational nightmares for both producers and workers.

The federation's internal meeting is said to have included FWICE president B.N. Tiwari, chief advisor Ashoke Pandit, General Secretary Ashok Dubey and Treasurer Gangeshwar Lal Srivastava. After a lot of deliberations, the institution chose to stand.

The issue, before FWICE stepped in, was reportedly reported to have reached the producers’ association, where senior industry players negotiated between Ranveer Singh and Excel Entertainment. But discussions over compensation and settlement reportedly did not settle down, leading to the federation’s firmer decree.

Now, industry analysts are interested in whether the non-cooperation decision could affect Ranveer Singh’s next projects. This controversy was a significant turn in a great success for the Bollywood actor, who post Dhurandhar was demand is relatively high. What happens with Ranveer Singh and when the actor reconciles with the production house in the forthcoming days is equally open to the fans and players in the industry.
