The blast horrified the people close by, while emergency officers, guard personnel and rescue teams rushed around the local area to save victims and transfer other people to the nearby hospitals. The explosion took place in a high-traffic area at peak flow hours, where casualties were high, according to the local police.

The report comes with reports of one of the perpetrators detonating explosives at a meeting point and destroying nearby buildings and automotive wreckage. Police officials said many of the wounded were dangerously sick, fueling fears that death would rise even more. Hospitals across the district were being put on emergency alert to take on the large surge in patients.

Peace agents and rescue crews rapidly sent emergency troops in the immediate aftermath of the explosion; peace agents flitted around the area looking for suspects or other forms of explosive equipment. Bomb disposal and forensic examination specialists arrived as they looked for evidence at the bomb site.

Eyewitnesses said the aftermath was gruesome when the bomb exploded. Smoke was getting into their faces, and people were shouting for help with all the rubble and broken vehicles. Local shops and buildings; damage probably catastrophic, given the explosion. Government officials condemned the attack and extended condolences to the families of the dead.

Pakistani officials said the country will continue fighting terrorism, and its perpetrators will be subjected to heavy punitive actions. But no militant group has taken credit for this suicide attack. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, however, one of Pakistan’s most vulnerable enclaves, has remained under sustained attack from various extremist and militant groups.

Security agencies also suspect that the attackers may have aimed to attack law enforcement agencies or public gatherings of various kinds. Investigation is ongoing. Surveillance cameras are being analysed; witness statements are also being taken about how the attacker made his way into an otherwise crowded area.

After the explosion, heavy security was put in the surrounding neighbourhoods; security checkpoints were heightened, and stations were placed in security zones. The officers also told all citizens to watch and report anything suspicious as soon as possible. Hospitals treating injured individuals declared medical emergencies; doctors and paramedics stayed at work day and night, keeping some of the severely injured patients stable.

Hospitals had dispatched requests to donate blood to help with emergency treatment, authorities said. And this latest incident forced the worsening security of parts of Pakistan at the regional and specifically Afghanistan’s borders onto the news broadcast stage.

Militant violence has spiked in recent months, analysts said, despite counterterrorism efforts by Pakistani security forces. The attack is the latest to bring the federal government on the hunt to examine security arrangements in critical regions of the country.

Senior officials have also urged better intelligence coordination to avoid future incidents. It’s being mourned around this country as relatives try to understand what has happened to another victim of a violent incident, and investigations take place at their own pace.
