Adani Energy Solutions Limited (AESL) has secured a major transmission project in Maharashtra worth around ₹4,700 crore, adding another significant project to its growing power transmission portfolio.
The project will develop Maharashtra’s electricity transmission system and improve Maharashtra’s power supply capacity to meet the increasing power demand.
The company received the Letter of Intent for the project after being the successful bidder in a tariff-based competitive bidding process.
What is the Maharashtra Transmission Project?
The project will also introduce a new transmission system in Maharashtra that will help in power transmission across the state.
AESL will be responsible for developing, owning, operating and maintaining the transmission project for 35 years.
The project is being developed under the Build, Own, Operate and Transfer model. As such, the company will construct the infrastructure and operate it for a specified period.
