BESCOM Advisory for Residents
BESCOM has advised residents in affected areas to take necessary precautions ahead of the scheduled outage. Consumers are advised to charge mobile phones, laptops, power banks, and other essential electronic devices in advance.
Households using electric water pumps should be able to store enough water before the shutdown. People working from home should plan for alternate arrangements if uninterrupted electricity is required.
The utility company has also recommended keeping emergency lighting equipment like rechargeable lamps, torches, and backup power sources on hand to be ready when the power is interrupted during an outage.
Purpose of Maintenance Work
The maintenance efforts are crucial to the city’s electricity system, and to prevent unplanned failures, they said. Regular inspections and maintenance work help detect potential issues before they become more severe, ensuring more reliable energy for consumers.
Residents are advised to monitor for any changes in the outage schedule or restoration timelines through official BESCOM communication channels.
