A fresh controversy has erupted for the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) after two youths protested outside the residence of party founder and chief Abhijeet Dipke, claiming they were not taken into account when they were in the middle of the Jantar Mantar protest. So far, there have been talks about internal participation and what is the role of the relatively new party is.
These two protesters claimed they had been part of the Jantar Mantar agitation, where they had been part of Jantar Mantar, where students and supporters in particular had been in the movement to discuss recruitment problems and examination irregularities and questions about recruitment and alleged examination problems. However, the youths said they were not invited to the party's recent 'Manthan' meeting in which they were told to discuss the party's future strategy and assign responsibilities to members. They said they were also not considered for any organizational position despite being involved in the movement.
While the protesters held up placards and shouted slogans outside Dipke's residence, they pleaded for an explanation from the party leadership. They said they were looking for recognition for their participation and wanted clarity on how those chosen for party duties were selected and what criteria were used to pick people to be party members.
As such, the activists say many grassroots volunteers who actually participated in the movement feel that the party needs to treat them as equals in the movement’s development as the party expands its organization. They say that when it comes to responsibilities, transparency in assigning responsibilities in the organization is key for the trust of volunteers who have supported the movement from the start.
Social media shows videos and pictures of the demonstration, which appear to be the first time people claiming affiliation with the party have publicly disagreed. The protest has caused online discussions of internal decision-making and what supporters who were involved in recent demonstrations expect.
