CJP supporters rallied in the capital on Monday as they marched towards Parliament, in protest against the supposed NEET-UG 2026 paper leak and for education reforms. Delhi Police intervened to stop the march, releasing tear gas to disperse the demonstrators.
The party has claimed that Abhijeet Dipke, its founder, was detained by the police during the protest.
Protest Near Parliament
Thousands of CJP supporters rallied around the “Sansad Chalo March” and petitioned for reforms to India’s education system and to hold the government to account for the alleged examination irregularities.
When the protesters were near Parliament, security personnel stopped the march and announced the high-security zone.
According to reports, the Delhi police used tear gas shells to disperse the crowd after tensions grew.
CJP Says The Founder Was Detained
The CJP alleged that founder Abhijeet Dipke was taken into police custody during the protest.
Saurab Das, party spokesperson, posted on social media platform X, saying Dipke had been picked up by police and that peaceful protesters were subjected to a crackdown.

Centre Talks with Party Representatives
The developments come as the Union Government has started dialogue with CJP leaders.
- According to reports, Union Minister J.P. Nadda invited CJP representatives to meet with their representatives on their demands for discussion.
- Party leaders have said they will present proposals for educational reform and examination transparency at the meeting.
Meanwhile, reports also said that the Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan met the Union Home Minister Amit Shah in the wake of the protests. The content of the meeting has not been made public, but it has been noticed by local media.
Protest Demands
The protesters have several demands:
- Reforms to India’s examination system.
- Greater transparency in national entrance examinations.
- More robust controls on paper leaks.
- Accountability for those at fault for examination irregularities.
