Hubli Electricity Supply Company (HESCOM) has said power for all 11 kV feeders connected to the 110 kV UAS station will be suspended during the maintenance. The outage will affect residential areas, commercial buildings, educational institutions, hospitals, and industrial areas.

Power Supply to Remain Suspended from 10 AM to 5 PM

The scheduled maintenance work will be carried out on September 6 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This will mean the electricity supply will not be available in the affected areas. Power supply will be restored once the maintenance work is completed, officials said.

Residents are advised to charge mobile phones, laptops, power banks, and other essential electronic devices in advance. Electric water pumps should also be kept in place so that all household water can be stored before the outage occurs.

The public should take precautions before the outage begins and plan for it, they urged. People working from home or having businesses that depend on electricity-dependent equipment should prepare for it and plan, the government said. Water pumping, charging devices, and other electrical tasks must be done before 10 AM.

The maintenance work is part of KPTCL’s regular efforts to improve the reliability and efficiency of the power distribution network. The inconvenience of a short outage for thousands of consumers might be temporary, but officials say it is necessary to guarantee a reliable and safe electricity supply in the future.

Residents should check if any of their locations are on the list of affected areas and make arrangements in advance to avoid any inconvenience during the seven-hour shutdown.
