The Bharat Gaurav Pilgrimage Train will start from Rajkot and make stops at many major stations, including Surendranagar, Viramgam, Sabarmati (Coach Complex), Nadiad, Anand, Chhayapuri, Godhra, Dahod, Ratlam, Ujjain, and Sant Hirdaram Nagar (Bhopal), and this will allow pilgrims from Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh to quickly join their spiritual journey without having to travel to the destination.

The 13-day tour will include a pilgrimage to several sacred places in Hinduism, including the Jagannath Temple in Puri, one of the Char Dham pilgrimage sites, the Kamakhya Temple in Assam, the holy city of Gaya, the spiritual capital of Varanasi, and the historic city of Ayodhya, which is the birthplace of Lord Ram. These are some of the cities that are well known for pilgrimage and are among India’s most important pilgrimage centers, attracting millions of devotees every year.

In terms of budget, IRCTC has introduced several travel categories for different budgets. The package price for Sleeper Class is ₹24,200 per person, while 3AC accommodation will cost ₹40,900 per person. 2AC travel is priced at ₹48,500 per person. The price structure allows pilgrims to choose a package price according to their comfort level, making it affordable for them and allowing for a full trip.

According to Nikita Awasthi, Area Manager, IRCTC West Zone, Ahmedabad, the train will enter Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh on August 29 and complete its pilgrimage circuit on September 10. The journey has been planned so that there is enough time for temple visits, sightseeing, and religious activities at each destination.

One of the great things about the Bharat Gaurav initiative is its all-inclusive package. IRCTC stated that the tour cost covers confirmed train travel, hotel accommodation, vegetarian meals, local sightseeing, road transportation, experienced tour escorts, security personnel, and travel insurance. With such a package, passengers are able to embark on the pilgrimage without the need to make separate bookings or deal with travel logistics.

The pilgrimage train will also have an on-board entertainment system and security arrangements for the journey. IRCTC officials have said that trained staff and escorts will be present to ensure pilgrims enjoy a safe, organized, and hassle-free travel experience.

The Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train initiative is part of Indian Railways’ overall philosophy toward domestic tourism and India’s rich spiritual heritage. These themed trains have gained popularity over the last few years by serving pilgrimage circuits that are convenient, affordable, and provide quality services.

With its comprehensive itinerary and access to various boarding points in Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh, the upcoming Bharat Gaurav Pilgrimage Train has great potential to attract devotees for a divine experience. It further strengthens IRCTC’s commitment to religious tourism and makes pilgrimage travel more accessible for people all over the country.
