Public Advisory
CESC officials have appealed to citizens to take part in the maintenance work, saying the inconvenience at present is necessary to ensure the power supply will be more reliable in the future.
The electricity department advised residents to:
- Fully charge mobile phones, laptops and other essential devices.
- Ensure that you have an adequate supply of drinking water and household water.
- Set up essential electrical and online work ahead of time before the outage.
- Make arrangements for businesses and commercial establishments that depend on electricity.
If the maintenance work is completed ahead of schedule, the power supply may be restored earlier than the announced time without prior notice.
Purpose of the Maintenance Work
Regular maintenance of substations, transformers, feeders and transmission infrastructure is the main reason why unexpected breakdowns are avoided, and service quality is improved. The quarterly maintenance programme is designed to detect problems before they become major issues.
With several key areas of Mysuru expected to be affected, residents are advised to stay informed via official CESC updates and take necessary precautions to manage the temporary power interruption smoothly.
