Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to host the ninth edition of his much-anticipated interactive ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ (PPC 2026) session on February 6, 2026. That has evolved into a huge social movement across the country and aims to guide students, teachers, and parents through the high-stakes and competitive pressures of board exams and competitive entrance exams. This session is set to begin at the beloved Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, starting at 11:00 AM. It will be broadcast live on various channels of national TV, digital media, and radio, reaching the most distant stretches of the country.

Record-Breaking Participation

According to information released by the Ministry of Education, PPC 2026 has seen an explosive level of interest.
Registrations: More than 2.05 crore students, 15 lakh teachers, and 5 lakh parents have registered on the MyGov portal.
Competition: About 2,000 contenders of the PPC national writing contest have been invited to participate in person at Bharat Mandapam. The winners will be awarded special certificates and a “Pariksha Pe Charcha” kit, which includes the prime minister’s book, Exam Warriors.

It is also all about Mental Well-being and Skill Development

PM Modi will also have a chance to respond to several questions such as time management, digital distraction, and parental expectations during the session. It is in anticipation of the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the educational sector, in particular under the provisions of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, that a great deal of emphasis will be placed on the emerging forms of career pathways.

X (formerly Twitter)

As the date was announced on social media platform X, the Prime Minister said:
"Pariksha Pe Charcha, I genuinely look forward to it. It's a lively forum for debating how to take exams from a stress-inducing point of view into a positive, learning-infused party. I hope to have our young Exam Warriors on February 6!"

Creative “Exam Warrior” Exhibition

Before the opening, the Ministry of Education is holding an exhibition at the venue showing some innovative projects undertaken by school children. Some of the projects are rooted in sustainability, space technology, and traditional Indian knowledge systems. PM Modi will be passing through these stalls and getting to know the young innovators before heading onto the stage for the town hall-style Q&A.

Impact of PPC Over the Years

"Pariksha Pe Charcha" which started in 2018 has become a cornerstone of government action to address student mental health. Experts say the Prime Minister’s down-to-earth and conversational style of speaking demystifies the ‘fear of failure’ that often affects Indian households during the months of February and March. The Prime Minister’s advice often focuses on staying healthy, getting enough sleep, and concentrating on self-competition instead of benchmarking one’s progress against the rest of his generation.
