BJP spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain on Tuesday criticised Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi over the Congress protest outside Prime Minister Narendra Modi's official residence in New Delhi, accusing him of violating parliamentary decorum and staging demonstrations to attract media attention.
As he spoke with reporters in Patna, Hussain said Rahul Gandhi was not conducting himself in a manner befitting the Leader of the Opposition.

As for the Congress criticism of the situation of students, the BJP leader said the central government is committed to safeguarding the interests of the country's youth.
"Our government is committed to working for the youth. The NEET re-test was conducted, its results were declared, and many students qualified for the examination," he said.
Hussain’s comments came as Congress leaders, including senior party figures, staged a protest near the Prime Minister’s residence and raised demands on student issues and other issues. The demonstration had a high level of security on hand for it, and Delhi Police detained several of the protesters who attempted to march towards the high-security zone.
The exchange is also indicative of the continuing political friction between BJP and Congress on education, competitive examinations, and protests.
Though the Congress has claimed that students' and protesters’ concerns have not been addressed, the BJP has defended the government’s actions, pointing to measures like the conduct of the NEET re-test and the declaration of its results.
And the political debate will continue as both parties will press for the right political stance on governance, education, and youth welfare.
