US Ambassador to India Sergio Gor met with India’s National Security Advisor Ajit Doval to discuss security and geopolitical issues as the world is faced with a rapidly changing international security environment.
Gor said the meeting was “very fruitful” and the discussions covered the key security and geopolitical issues. He also said strategic cooperation between the United States and India is continuing to increase.
The meeting highlights the importance of high-level diplomatic and security engagement between New Delhi and Washington. India and the United States have deepened cooperation on defence, technology, trade, key minerals, and regional security with regular exchanges between senior officials in the bilateral space.
Ajit Doval, one of the top three figures in India’s national security apparatus, has played a central role in India’s strategic and security policymaking. Sergio Gor has been the US ambassador to India since January 2026. He has been serving India since then, and at present India-US relations are expanding in terms of defence and emerging technology in India.
