Pakistan U19 Team Goes Viral: Dancing to 'Dhurandhar' Track After Crushing India in Asia Cup Final Victory

The Pakistan Under-19 cricket team scripted history on Sunday, December 21, 2025, by securing their first outright Asia Cup title. While the clinical 191-run win over India was a statement of intent, the post-match celebrations have sparked a different kind of frenzy online.

The Viral Celebration

Following the trophy presentation, the Pakistani youngsters were seen enthusiastically performing a coordinated dance to the song "Fasla" (FA9LA) from the Bollywood film Dhurandhar. The track, featuring actor Akshaye Khanna’s iconic entry sequence, has been a global trend, but its use by the Pakistani team is particularly noteworthy as the film is currently banned in Pakistan.

The players, led by century-hero Sameer Minhas, mimicked Akshaye Khanna’s signature steps—a mix of "Balochi" style movements—celebrating their hard-fought victory. The video, originally shared by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC), has since garnered millions of views across X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram.

A Record-Breaking Final

The match itself was a one-sided affair. After being asked to bat first, Pakistan posted a daunting 347/8 in 50 overs. The star of the show was Sameer Minhas, who smashed a blistering 172 off 113 balls, recording the highest-ever individual score in a U19 Asia Cup final.

In response, the Indian batting lineup crumbled under the relentless pressure of Pakistan’s bowling attack. Despite a brief fightback from the lower order, India was bundled out for a mere 156 runs in just 26.2 overs. Ali Raza was the pick of the bowlers for Pakistan, claiming four crucial wickets to ensure a thumping win for his side.

Why the Song Choice?

The choice of the "Dhurandhar" track has raised eyebrows because the film deals with sensitive themes of espionage and cross-border tension, leading to its ban in several Gulf nations and Pakistan. However, the song's infectious beat and the viral "Akshaye Khanna step" proved too hard to resist for the young champions, who used the moment to showcase their joy and uninhibited celebration.
