Rakshitha Shetty Secures Runner-Up Spot in BBK 12: Wins ₹25 Lakh and Hearts with Her "20 Cows" Dream

Gilli Nata is the winner of Bigg Boss Kannada Season 12 113 days long finale journey. But there also was a highlight on the night, the stunning underdog story of Rakshitha Shetty, who finished 1st Runner-Up. It’s also worth noting her story since when she got the right to run it was in reality being evicted, and at first she was kicked out on the first day, then a week later returned and she survived to the last stage and not having even a little industry background.

Remarkable Journey of Resilience

Rakshitha Shetty’s road to the end was by no means traditional. Raised after being brought up in a middle-class family without a silver screen background as a commoner, she endured enormous pressure, abuse and isolation in the house. She was easy on seasoned contestants with her attitude, but she cultivated a massive community at least for her own cause.

Attaining The Top 2 in her television debut is receiving huge praise from host Kiccha Sudeep as a "commendable achievement" and a true victory of character. The "20 Cows" Ambition. Before the winner emerged, in a touching moment, Sudeep asked Rakshitha what she would do with the ₹50 Lakh prize money if she won. Her reply made the audience smile as one and weep:

“I want to buy 20 cows,” she said, tersely. When the price was assessed, she said she had an estimated ₹1 Lakh per cow and could save her own money to make do with the rest for her family. So while she narrowly missed the winner's trophy, the rewards she received were immense and will help her reach her humble dreams.

Sponsored Accolades and Prize Money runner-ups to Bigg Boss typically received little more than mention. So too, trends have changed, allowing the second-placed finisher to be reward worthy. Rakshitha Shetty emerged with a significant cumulative award:

  • ₹20 Lakh Money: Given by Sai Gold Palace. The chairman, T.A. Sharavana had been there to hand the cheque to Rakshitha.
  • ₹5 Lakh Cash: Provided by Jar App, one of the season’s best sponsors, the winner of this award.

Rakshitha has managed to obtain a sum of ₹25 Lakh as money, which in itself is life-changing and proves that her 113 day struggle is worth it.

The People's Runner Up

Rakshitha's success shows the Bigg Boss stage is not just for stars who have been there for a while. She managed to stand up to the industry veterans and the scrutiny of 16 weeks by remaining so and became the inspiration of the people across Karnataka. Her story from near eviction to a ₹25 Lakh triumph is the most inspiring arc of Season 12.
