A newcomer has just entered the smartphone market in India. The Nothing Phone 4a and Nothing Phone 4a Pro aren’t something brands or luxury manufacturers typically launch. Those devices target users that want top-notch features but aren’t willing to pay premium prices. The phones are already buzzy to tech fans, with sales beginning mid-March 2026.
Design and Build
The Nothing Phone 4a takes the brand’s signature transparent back design to make you see the inner parts of the phone in a cool way, though. The Pro version, by contrast, goes the other way. A full-metal body that is only 7.95mm thick, so this makes it the thinnest Nothing phone yet. They come with the improved Glyph Matrix lighting system that’s brighter and more customizable than ever. The Pro has IP68 water resistance, whereas the standard 4a has IP65 splash resistance.
Display and Performance
The Phone 4a features a smooth 120Hz display to accommodate both use in daily life and casual gaming with a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen.
This year's Pro model takes the matter up a notch with a 6.83-inch flexible AMOLED display and a faster 144Hz refresh rate. Users now enjoy a more fluid experience. The 4a works with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 under the hood, with the Pro powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, which are both more geared towards gaming and multi-tasking performance.
Cameras and Battery
Photography is another feature of the Pro. The Phone 4a is equipped with a dual-camera system, including a periscope zoom lens. The Pro version is beefed up with triple-camera tech, to enable it with ultimate shooting. Battery life, too, is outstanding, it has 5,000mAh, over 5,400–5,500mAh in the 4a Pro, making it long enough to power up in a single charge.
Software and Pricing
Both phones have Android 16 running, with Nothing’s custom operating system 4.0 (4a) and OS 4.1 (Pro). The software is clean, minimal, and optimally optimized for seamless performance. Pricing is competitive: Phone 4a starts at ₹31,999 and Pro begins at ₹39,999. Sales will start on Flipkart from March 12–13, 2026.
Strong mid-range designs the Nothing Phone 4a and 4a Pro balances design, performance and price. The 4a has a very good fit for budget-conscious buyers but wants an aesthetically pleasing phone in the same pocket because the Pro is much stronger for the better cameras, faster display and higher quality structure. Nothing has demonstrated that it can stand up to leading brands like OnePlus, Samsung and iQOO in India’s saturated smartphone landscape with these launches.
