A One-Man Show Powered by AI

Ravichandran continues to advance Kannada cinema, but *I Am God* takes it one step farther, extending his “one-man show” reputation to one level beyond the usual. While doing an elimination round, the legendary actor-director revealed in the finale that he has been working on I Am God for more than two and a half years.

What sets this film apart is that Ravichandran has operated almost every technical department himself production, direction, music composition, and scriptwriting with AI serving as his key collaborator. He shared that he has spent 400 days on the shoot, and other than the cinematographer, he bears complete creative responsibility. “For the last two years, AI has been my partner,” Ravichandran said. “It’s like a partner that’s never saying ‘No.’ It polishes my thinking and helps me articulate feelings more accurately.”

A Musical Extravaganza: 35 Songs

Ravichandran films have always made music their heartbeat and I Am God is going to be something of a record-breaker. The filmmaker announced that the film features an astonishing 30 to 35 songs. Unlike traditional films where songs sit within five-minute blocks, I Am God uses music as a constantly continuous narrative tool. These tracks range in length from small fragments to entire songs with a rhythmic quality according to Ravichandran, which was the essence of their "soul" of the movie. He mentioned for the first time that he’s not working with an ordinary music director. Instead, he uses technology to bring his musical dreams into reality.

Release Date: A Birthday Present for Fans

The “Showman” of Karnataka has set his sights on a major date for a theatrical release. He plans to bring I Am God to the big screen on May 30, coinciding with his birthday. “I’m doing everything myself, so it’s taking quite a bit,” he said to host Kichcha Sudeep and the cheering crowd. “But I want to show this new man and this new technology to people on my birthday.”

Why the Title "I Am God"?

The title has already generated considerable fascination. While there is some suggestion it has a philosophical/spiritual undercurrent, Ravichandran’s latest interviews implied it had to do with creation’s internal force. If he uses AI to make his dreams reality, without limits provided by a usual crew, it gives him a new creative godhood—an ability to make a perfect world of his making.
