Dhurandhar 2 Premiere Delay in Mysuru: What Really Happened

Dhurandhar 2 was one of the most awaited 2026 movies that would premiere with the most anticipation, but it had trouble in Mysuru as well as other South Indian cities. The audience who bought tickets for the shows were disappointed after screenings were delayed or cancelled. Technological issues were indeed the primary cause of the disturbance in this scenario.

The film was delivered in various languages such as Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi. The digital files and subtitles were not ready on time, which led to problems in theaters. In Mysuru, Kannada and Malayalam versions were particularly affected. Shows that had originally been scheduled to start in the evening were delayed until the morning. Tamil and Telugu versions were also delayed, and Hindi screenings began later than previously anticipated in some areas.

Mysuru-goers found the delay frustrating. Many had purchased tickets for the premiere show, hoping to be one of the first to watch Ranveer Singh in action. Some waited for hours, only to be informed that the show wouldn’t take place that night. Social media quickly filled with posts from disappointed viewers, sharing their anger and confusion. The excitement around the premiere turned into disappointment, at least for a little while.

Aditya Dhar, director of Dhurandhar 2, released a public apology on social media. He said the reason it was delayed was due to technical issues, but that screenings from the official release day would run smoothly. Dhar had a message for the fans: “We understand and we will definitely make it worth your wait.” His remarks settled some of the tension, proving the makers understood the problem and made efforts to solve it.

Notwithstanding the setback, Dhurandhar 2 is expected to perform well. Pre‑sale advance bookings have already crossed 9 lakh tickets, with pre‑sales of over ₹42 crore. This shows that the delay has not tempered the enthusiasm for the film. After the technical glitch was fixed, the theatres resumed normal screenings from March 19, the official release date.

The premiere delay of Dhurandhar 2 in Mysuru was caused by technical problems. While fans were frustrated by not being able to experience the premiere as expected, the prompt response from the director and strong advance bookings indicate a successful run for the film nonetheless. For viewers, it may have been a longer wait than anticipated, but Dhurandhar 2 is just starting to take shape.
