Protesters carried banners and flags and chanted slogans against Pakistan’s policies in terms of Pakistan's behavior on Kashmir.

They also added that they want to raise more international organizations’ concerns about Pakistan’s stance on Kashmir and also that they want to bring international organizations’ attention to their problems and wanted peace, justice and stability in the region.

Images and video clips posted on social media show a large crowd gathered outside the diplomatic mission. Protesters held signs calling for recognition for victims of violence and accountability for what they described as long-standing grievances. Organizers said the gathering was peaceful and aimed at highlighting the voices of the Kashmiri community living abroad.

Demonstrators stated that the protest was organized to bring international attention to security issues and human rights, and the future of Kashmir. Demonstrators also pleaded with global leaders to encourage dialogue and promote peaceful solutions to regional disputes.

The demonstrations attracted attention from many of the passers-by and local media, and police were in place to keep order at the demonstration. There were no major disturbances of any kind and no incidents were reported, and the gathering ended peacefully after speeches by community representatives.

The protest comes as talks on Kashmir continue to rage along the lines of old ones between India and Pakistan for decades. And in Europe and North America, diaspora communities have frequently rallied and protested and expressed their views on affairs in the region.

At the Bradford protest, community leaders said they wanted to keep international institutions and policymakers informed about the issue of Kashmir. They also pleaded for stronger diplomatic engagement to try and create calm and to resolve those disputes and to be able to build lasting peace.

Political observers say that diaspora-driven demonstrations have become more and more a means for people living abroad to influence international discourse on regional issues. Such protests are often captured by social media, and videos and photos are shared worldwide in seconds.

The Bradford demonstration generated a lot of online debate with supporters and critics holding differing opinions on the protest. While some hailed the gathering as a peaceful expression of democratic rights, others argued for dialogue between the two sides in order to resolve the issues of Kashmir.

Demonstrations like those in Bradford reflect the active role that diaspora communities play in the global conversation over Kashmir and how they can shape the world’s debate on the subject.

The peaceful protest stressed that all parties wanted accountability, justice, and sustained international engagement and that Kashmir still has a place in international affairs.
