Heavy monsoon showers have caused havoc in Gurugram on Tuesday when much of Gurugram flooded with water and traffic gridlock due to heavy monsoon rains .
But most parts of the city are flooded with water and traffic gridlock due to huge road cave-in and long lines of cars stuck in long-running traffic jams in Gurugram that are too heavy monsoon rain.
Torrential rain caused waterlogging, road cave-in and long lines of cars in several major roads and traffic congestion and heavy rainfall led to heavy rain, which caused commuters to travel for hours in Gurugram to be stranded and thousands of them to be stuck in traffic jams.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a ‘red alert’ on Gurugram, warning of heavy rainfall and advising residents not to travel unnecessarily.
Heavy showers with more heavy rainfall are likely in the next 24 hours and flooding in low-lying areas could be a concern, and it could happen, and it’s likely to happen, the weather department added.
As the rain flooded streets and intersections in the city, a number of main roads and crossing streets were inundated as heavy rains swept over the city and caused traffic to slow down to a standstill.
Workday commuters, school buses and public transport services were among the worst hit office-goers, school buses and public transport services were also affected, and those who drove slowly in the rain were stuck in a slow flow with flooded streets and a lack of visibility in the city where waterlogged roads and highways flooded by heavy rain.

“We’re looking at the damage and will start reconstruction when the weather is better,” said city officials.
At large congestion points, traffic police were deployed to ensure traffic flow was controlled and stranded motorists were helped out of the city.
At times of high traffic density in areas of Gurugram, traffic was still extremely heavy throughout the day. Social media was full of videos and pictures of flooded roads, stuck vehicles and long lines of traffic to show how dire the damage was.
Residents are advised to keep indoors unless they have to travel and not to drive through flooded roads. Dangerous construction zones and damaged roads where there is continuous rain may also be dangerous and people should be particularly vigilant to be monitored and warned to keep out of construction areas where it is raining, in addition to the damaged roads.
The recent spell of rain has yet again revealed Gurugram’s drainage and urban infrastructure problems.
During monsoon season, heavy rainfall has caused waterlogging and traffic gridlock as a result of the heavy rainfall and waterlogging of the city’s drainage despite efforts of the city’s civic bodies to reduce the city’s drainage problems.

Residents should know that the IMD is warning residents to keep track of weather updates and plan for weather updates and stay up to date as conditions improve and if necessary, to be patient and adapt for the weather.
