Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy wants to encourage young people to learn, become educated and to have better opportunities and he said the government would do everything to make the future of the youth better.
Students and young people in Telangana are important to Revanth Reddy and he has repeatedly stressed that education and skill development are the two key pillars of Telangana’s growth. In July, he told government-school students to make full use of the opportunities offered by the state and play a big role in rebuilding Telangana.
Young people must prepare for a rapidly changing world, the Chief Minister said, as tech and artificial intelligence continue to change what we do for education. He said students need to work on their study skills as well as practical skills to be able to succeed in future careers.
The Telangana government has also been focused on increasing educational infrastructure and better learning opportunities. Revanth Reddy recently inaugurated a new girls’ high school building and talked to students in Wanaparthy district. He said education is a foundation for self-respect, recognition and a better future.
Skill development has been one of the main focuses. Industrial Training Institutes are now being transformed into Advanced Training Centres to give young people modern training that is relevant to industry. Revanth Reddy has said such efforts help young people secure jobs and economic opportunities while they are trained to cope with new industry requirements.
The government’s approach is consistent with the greater focus on linking education to employment. With Telangana in the process of growing in the longer term the young people are expected to play a big role in sectors like technology and manufacturing and entrepreneurship and services.
Revanth Reddy has also encouraged students to take advantage of technology, academics and sports opportunities.
Public schools, infrastructure and broader support for students are key steps taken by the government. Education kits were also planned to reach millions of students prior to the new academic year, Telangana government said.
For Telangana’s vast youth population, quality education, vocational training and job opportunities are key to building a stronger economy.
Government support can be a way, but students and young professionals will have to convert those opportunities into skills, careers and innovation.
The Chief Minister’s message places youth at the centre of Telangana’s future development. Through education and skill-building now and in the future, the government intends to create a generation that will be able to contribute economically and socially to the state’s development.
As Telangana’s development vision for the long-term is being drawn up, the focus on young people is likely to be an important part of the government’s agenda.
