It will be the celebration of the Bhagwan Mahavir Janma Kalyanak Diwas on March 31 so India will inaugurate Samrat Samprati Museum at Koba Tirth in Gandhinagar, Gujarat which is dedicated to our ancient history and culture as present in Jainism. It is a proud day to see Samrat Samprati Museum in honor of Bhagwan Mahavir, the great spiritual leader of people who preached non-violence, truth, and humanity.
Samrat Samprati Museum was born out of 7 wings that provide a comprehensive idea of India’s history and culture. The museum also showcases the ideal Jain culture and the deep impact Jainism has had on India. It was named after Samrat Samprati (Jain emperor of Jainism who led and built thousands of Jain temples).
Thus this museum’s initiation is not only about artefacts. It’s to uphold values that matter much and motivate humanity. Jainism’s values of non-violence, diversity, and respect for all living beings are still relevant to us. In having a museum dedicated to these ideals, India serves up new life to protect our culture and our soul.
Having the museum opening on Mahavir Jayanti adds spiritual meaning. Mahavir’s life and teachings are the subject of Jain philosophy in the present world and thus the museum will present visual reminders to the public about his teachings. The museum is to tell about Jain life and Mahavir’s life, history, as well as how it is a place of great meaning to the cultural tourism business for all people in India.
Inquiring in front of Modi was the significance of this, and Modi said that the museum was a reflection of Indian heritage and ethical values and that for Jainism ethics. And the museum can provide national pride for the rest of the world to know how India honors those cultural traditions and spiritual aspects of her people; how she can hold India’s spiritual heritage.
We would like to commemorate and bring to Koba Tirth the inauguration of Samrat Samprati Museum that commemorates Jainism as the great heritage in our society. This show we do for India’s past and the freedom and dignity as future generations come, the museum of India and Jainism is an acknowledgment of and celebration of Jainism, to support India’s great past as an icon of Mahavir Jayanti.
