Fan frenzy and chants of victory

Maddur was electric with chants of 'Gilli, Gilli!' and "Mandya's Pride!" as supporters rode his convoy on motorcycles and tractors. The procession caused some light traffic jams, but the atmosphere was infectious. Young children and the elderly were also lining up on each side to give flowers and sweets to their friend’s favorite contestant.
